Bit premature to judge after one game, but I didn't really like Wembley. The club Wembley and corporate seats took out a lot of atmosphere with a lot of the seats empty at half time, and I noticed during extra time they were empty also.

Also the grass was cutting up really easily, I wasn't too impressed with it to be honest. After the play off's have been played, I wonder if the pitch will still be green.

What's everyone else's opinion?

The only reason for empty seats at half time was the ryman league standard of football being played in the first half. As for the pitch I think it was poor but still no excuse, I'm sure that's just a temporary problem though.

I'm hoping to go there next weekend and I think you can only judge it by actually going there but tragically having corporate seats is necessary because of the cost of building the stadium and the way football works now.

I liked it, the atmosphere sounded good from what I saw, if tickets were abit cheaper and the fans were allowed a bigger allocation the atmsophere would of been greater. The pitch was shit, they needed to change that as it cut up and slowed down the game

To be honest, when I was watching the match, it didn't look like it had the magic of the old Wembley. To me it just looked like The Emirates.

I guess it will take time to get a name for itself. It has no really history does it. Give it 10 -15 years and it will have hopefully encountered some amazing games.

From my mates they said it was crap. Sound doesn't carry between the tiers making it completely dead atmosphere wise.

Well the game wouldn't have helped the atmosphere. It was one of the worst finals I've ever had the pleasure lol, to see.

Yeah I'm talking about basic fundamentals of the design of the ground. Best game in the world and the noise would have been the same. They've fucked up the harmonics.

The architect said he designed the acoustics to sound the same as the old Wembley.

if you stood outside it, you'd be mighty impressed, new pitches always cut up, as they need games to bed in properly. although i think they could have watered the pitch.
