View Full Version : Shevchenko could join MLS
BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Chelsea | Shevchenko eyes future US switch (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/6675733.stm)
That will be another excellent move for MLS in the future, it's great to see the Yanks finally taking a good deal of interest in 'soccer'. Shevchenko will be massive over there imo as chelski have loads of fans.
Would he make the cut over there. I've watched a few MLS games when I've had chance and its quite similar (IMO) to English football and I don't think he will be suited to it at all.
The best move for him would be back to Italy.

Any idea of what team he would go to?
Any idea of what team he would go to?
I reckon he would follow the trend (and money) and join L.A Galaxy.

I see him going over in 5 years time.... not before returning to AC Milan for one or two more seasons first.
Besides it's something he is contemplating for the future

Chicago does have a decent amount of Ukranians. We do have Ukranian Village, but i think Chicago would have a better chance of picking up Polish players than anything else. I'd like to see him here but, i think you're right. His wife is a model and no model is going to want to live outside of Cali, expecially LA. I think the sad realisation is LA is going to end up getting all the players while everyone else sort of gets screwed. I mean it's not exactly nice here or anywhere else in the North during winter months.
Was he at the final tonight? Heard rumours he might be

He should really come to Toronto FC, we're the only team in MLS that actually have fans. :red:

Well this would be fantastic news for the MLS, I feel it will start to pick up a lot during the next few years and maybe it will be on TV in the UK in the not too near future.
