Can you watch a match as a neutral?

Do you find that whether your watching an FA Cup final or a game in the park you have to support one team or can you watch as a neutral?

Whenever I watch a match I have to support one team for one reason or another, otherwise I just get bored. I think it's because of the whole nature of the game, football isn't like tennis where you go to see the game, it's a sport where you go to see your team win.

How can you watch a lower league match as a neutral? I could watch Man Utd v. AC Milan as a neutral but not a shit football league match. Also the best thing about the football league is the fans and you have to get involved with the singing etc. to enjoy the match more lol

I only watch the premier league games now and again as a neutral. Like the Arsenal, united, or Chelsea games, but only if they are important. I don't make a point to go out of my way to watch them though. I may do if its a title decider but then your not really a neutral as usually you want someone to win.

Nah, I can never watch a game as a neutral. Even if that's what I intend to do at first, I always end up pulling for one side or the other... Even sometimes for silly reasons like "That team's shirts are nicer" or if there's a player I like on one team.
