Ok, they are going up, but why take a bow?
Easy. As Pools have flown up League two, they've sent club records tumbling. A 3-0 win at deadly rivals Darlington last month bagged 3 records in one day! 22 Games Unbeaten in the league, 20 unbeaten in all competitions and 12 unbeaten away from home in the league. And it was their biggest win over Darlo!

Didnt they have a bad start?
It wasnt the best - one win in their first six, and beiing 1-0 down at Accrington was a watershed. "I told them a few home truths that afternoon" added Manager Wilson "Some were on easy street and not getting the results their ability deserved. I dont always rant and rave but it was necessary"

Any Individual Records?
The Darlo win made it 30 league games unbeaten for Andy Monkhouse. He started this season at swindon and played part in their great start. He arrived at hartlepool in november and at the time Hartlepool were 18th.

They are a good side, I'm just wondering if they will be able to perform in the new league.

We actually beat more records than just those at the Darlo match. I think in total, we made something like 16 records overall, perhaps even more, within the season as a whole.

Take a bow? We did well in League 2 - had a poor start and a poor end but we did what matters. As for a bow, we did that on the Pools parade. Time to leave the past as the past and focus on what matters now, which is League 1. Got to prove that the first two seasons we had in League 1 the first time round were really what we were capable of. League 1 play-off finals again... stretching the limits maybe? We'll see :)

How do you think you will do in the new season?

How do you think you will do in the new season?

after selling your best keeper, and keeper of the season in league 2

Well the sad thing is, we didn't sell him... he just went lol.

I think we will do decent though. I mean, Dimi was a really really good keeper, but sadly, he knew it and sometimes it let him down cos he didn't make the effort, and without the effort he's one of the crappest, most lazy keepers yet. On paper, what I've just said must seem like utter bullcrap but I guess you'd have to watch a past game to understand what I mean.

I think we will finish with a play-off place. Not sure where we will get to in them though.
