Quite surprised even though he hasn't done great recently they stuck with him in the championship and got their reward. It's the new owners.

It had been coming in the last few games. they picked up 3 or 4 wins on the run and it looked like he'd be staying on. He's done very well since he's come in, not the best of starts but turned it around and put West Ham in the FA Cup final and 9th in the league.

Curbishley the new boss?

Im surprised actually that hes been sacked. I wonder who will take over. I dont think it will be curbishley as he has been linked with every vacant managers job

I think Curbishley will because he's had his "break". West Ham are a decent club and have now got the financial resources also it's still in London. He's good enough and if they don't take him I don't know who they'll take

Westham have been dreadfull this season really. But is sacking the manager a wise move? At the end of the day, the players should be performing and they were not this weekend.

Surprising when I first heard about it, didn't think they would get rid of him until January tbh, but maybe it was the right thing to do.
West Ham have the potential, they just need a fresh start I think and maybe this is the solution.

Get over it he just left you because he got a chance to manage at a club that were bigger at the time. I don't see why Reading fans made a big fuss about it

Maybe cos 6 weeks befor we walked out, he signed a new deal which he got a pay rise, but said he could leave only if a PREMIER LEAGUE side came in for him,

At the time Westham were 9th RFC were 6th in the Championship

But you know that just because a player signs a contract and gets a payrise doesn't mean he suddenly loves the club and is loyal to the club. West Ham were a bigger club at the time, Pardew obviously thought he had better oppurtunity of enhancing his CV.

Why should he stay with a 2nd choice club, just because they'd given him a pay rise.

There's no loyalty if football RR.

No loyalty in football, i know that. Dont mean i have to like it

I don't like it either but at the end of the day if a manager or player leaves my club I just accept it, because they don't care about the club there just there to make money or try and get to the next level

I don't know how anyone can be suprised. Things are going really bad there and they obviously don't want to see the team relegated and i don't Pardew was going to change it. they've given up 8 goals in the last 2 games and haven't scored an away goal since August. The teams playing horrible and if Curbishley comes in, it will be a good pickup after seeing what he did for Charlton. you can't just blaim the 2 Argetines either. The team as a whole is under-performing badly and the coach will always be the first to go if results don't come in

The more I think about it the more I think it was the right decision for Pardew to leave WH. I don't think they would have stayed up but Curbishley is the right person, being WH born and bred, also he has done similar things with Charlton
