How many miles does your team cover next season?

Found this article on our official website - our fans who go to every game will cover over 7200 miles. We are the most southern team in our league and some of our notable away trips are Darlington, Barnet (derby match), Dagenham and Redbridge (short trip by tube...). Also looking forward to going to Accrington and Hereford.
----------------
LOOKING AHEAD
Domestic football has now, after almost ten months action, come to an end and our opponents for our 81st complete season starting on 11th August have now been determined.

The full list reads: Accrington Stanley, Barnet, Bradford City, Bury, Chester City, Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge, Darlington, Grimsby Town, Hereford United, Lincoln City, Macclesford Town, Mansfield Town, MK Dons, Morecambe, Notts County, Peterborough United, Rochdale, Rotherham United, Shrewsbury Town, Stockport County, Wrexham & Wycombe Wanderers.

Of the 23 clubs who will be challenging, like us, for promotion, four of them have yet to meet The Bees for League points, namely Dagenham & Redbridge, Morecambe, Hereford United and Macclesfield Town. However we have met two of them in Cup competitions, Morecambe in the FA Cup and Hereford United in the League Cup, while Dagenham played host to us a couple of years back in a pre season friendly. The fourth club, Macclesfield, also played host to Brentford but in the days when Chester City were ground sharing with them.

Of the others we have to go back 48 years since we last met Accrington Stanley, a favourite fixture for The Bees as we scored seven goals in our two meetings in that 1959/60 season. We have to go back 22 years since last exchanging League fixtures with Lincoln City, while Barnet, Chester, Darlington, Rochdale and Shrewsbury Town last met us in the League in the 1998/99 season.

We move forward three years, and another century, for our last meeting with Bury (01/02) and a further year since we last met Mansfield Town. The 2003/04 season was the last time we met Grimsby Town, Notts County, Peterborough United and Wycombe Wanderers while a year later we last met Stockport County and Wrexham. Two seasons ago heralded the last exchanges between ourselves and MK Dons while of course we met Bradford City, Chesterfield and Rotherham United only last season.

All in all to watch The Bees in action this coming season will mean Bees fans travelling over 7,200 miles as opposed to just over 6,750 miles the season just gone.

We know the reasons why, but to find out when, where and how, look out for the Division Two fixtures here on the Brentford Website on or around 14th June.

Meanwhile there are just two days remaining for those who want to make the most of the "Early Bird" savings for the 2007/08 Season Tickets.

11,000miles this year.. think it was just over 10,000 the season just gone.

At least we won't be doing it on our own this year though, Hartlepool have over 10,000miles to travel too!

Edit; Used this site to get the numbers, just double the 'total' and you get the overall figure.
