Wales captain Ryan Giggs will announce his retirement from international football on Wednesday afternoon.

Giggs has won more English league titles than any other player but his decision means he will never play at a major international tournament.

more of a chance than Ireland. Wales have some other higher profile players in Bellamy and Savage when he comes back but they will miss Giggs. Hes one of the best Wales have ever had.

Quite possibly THE best player Wales have ever had. It must be frustrating though to never make a major tounrnament after all these years, and for most of the time he had pretty much nobody to help him.

Best since John Charles...Wales will miss him although I can't believe he wasn't captain earlier.

TBH, even though he was a winger i thought of him as a playmaker, as he could go inside, pass and cross the ball, he dictated the way wales played, they will miss him
