The answer - fairly simple will probably be a no. Teams like Luxembourg, Andorra and San Marino will not win a game if they keep being placed in groups with Italy, Portugal, Germany for qualifiers. San Marino have recently lost 0-13 to germany and are losing 6-0 atm to Germany. They are humiliated every game so what is the point of them turning up? They need to change the qualifying structure to give the smaller nations a chance of winning some pride.

yes I totally agree with you, the worst teams should be put into the same group so they at least have a chance of going through to the next round of the competition. At the moment it is pointless them playing, they need not turn up as everyone knows what the score will be.

Never liked seeding,never will.
Thats what makes the fa cup so special no seeding.
Its designed to favuor the better clubs,tennis-snooker players etc.
Give the smaller ones a chance.

What they should do is recreate the whole tournament and have the lower seeds play eachother in a round robin then be put into a qualifying with the other nations. I don't want to see a team like the Faroe Islands in Euro 2008 or in the WC because they're playing weak competition and qualify. Tyey'll just get slaughtered in the finals anyway. At least if they play eachother in a quasi round robin/tournament you'll get the best of the worst. If you had no seeding at all, you could get a group like Faroe Islands, San Marino, Malta, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Estonia, & Moldova. Now, however qualifies is going to do absolutely nothing. Though i bet Estonia would go through. The problem is these small countries break off from their neighbors and create a team full of people who play part time and work during the week. Not sure what kind of pride they could win. It would only get their hopes up. It must be tough playing for a country that has no chance of qualifying. You have to wonder how some people can have 50+ caps for their country win they consistently lose by 5+ goals.

But that would only be fair really? This seeding is unfair and really shouldn't happen.

Would be interesting to have it with NO seeding just picked out the hat with the only restriction being continents for qualifiers (you can't really have England playing Australia just for a qualifier for example)

because it's not practical. Also there should be relatively equal representatives from around the world, yeah people say why are Holland not in and Paraguay, Saudi Arabia aren't but it's not a World Cup if you don't have teams from around teh world
