Another step in the right direction.....

Well there's more reports about terracing may be coming back into football and thank God it's finally happening.

Why are supporters allowed to have terracing at top league Rugby matches like at Leeds Rhinos, but not in football ?

BBC SPORT | Football | Report calls for terracing return

But the Hillsborough Families Support Group described the call as a "step backwards" for supporters.
The Hillsborough Families Support Group really need to get a grip anf to get over what happened, which WAS CAUSED BY LIVERPOOL fans, turning up without tickets and storming the game pissed and the causing the cursh which killed their own fans.

With the happened in the Champions LEague Final maybe the sun was also correct in sating they Liverpool fans stole from the dead and the injured.

"Hillsborough was caused by pens into which there was no control over the numbers that went into them, fences at the front and poor management," he said.
No it was the Liverpool fans who caused this when the stormed the stadium.

What they have to realise is sad as it is people who have lost relatives in an accident, tragic as it is, are not going to be able to think rationally.

If you want proof that it will be safe just go to town centre and observe signs like 'slippery when wet' to see just how health and safety obssessed we are.

You know what What i'm getting at though, If we can get people to the moon and into space, surely we can safelty get people to STAND at a game. Its all to do with engineering, putting up stands which are very strong to hold people up in case of the crowd pushing forward.

More importantly it's about limiting the number of people though. For example in Athens there were 74k people in a 69k seater stadium supposedly. If a similar thing were to happen in standing things there would be problems. I think that's one thing they'd need to work on...

That's a bit wrong really. It's a combination of things which led to that disaster not just the liverpool fans. It could have been any team.

Thats reality at the end of the day.

I can't see how you say its wrong?

It the people without ticktes didn't turn up then it would never have happened so 100% blame is on the Liverpool fans. I'm not just saying it as its Liverpool, if it was Middlesbrough then i'd lay 100% blame on the Middlesbrough fans. Its just so obvious whos at blame here.

Bit simplistic is why it's wrong. The policing and the stadium itself contributed to the disaster and I'm sure the Taylor report says the same thing.

Exactly. If the same thing had happened in Athens would it have been 100% the Liverpool fan's fault for getting in without tickets - no it would have been the police/securities fault for not doing proper security checks. If you leave front door open and your house gets robbed then it's partly your fault.
