Yes I say they could, if they were put into the Premier League then they would be able to survive. They have great support and investment at both of the clubs. Also the distance would not be a problem either. They could kick West Ham and Sheffield United out of the Premiership and replace them with Celtic and Rangers.

This seems to come up every few months and follows the same lines. An excuse for the English twats to have a go at Scottish football. I don't know if I'd want to be exposed to an overrated league and the worst of Europe's hooligans. I'd rather leave them to it, CL football most years does me fine.

I think it would be good, there would be a great atmosphere at the games, well for the first season anyway. The only problem I would see is with Celtic as they would be full on signing bigot songs to the English clubs.

Yeah the scots have a near perfect fan base. I admit the English are hooligans "the minority" and this is tarnished on the rest of the fans. But you don't have that many problems in Europe as you never get that far in the european competitions. lol.

What would be the point? It would only be fair for them to join if they were in league 2. They would have to work their way up and I don't think any of their fans would be very happy about that. There players wouldn't stay to play and would they even get up to the premier league?
For people saying there are no Scottish hooligans, or trying to infer it, Rangers in the 70s were one of the few teams to take old trafford bringing down thousands.

I can't stand the way religion is brought into football in the old firm though. I know it's my opinion and you don't care but you'd never get that in England FACT and even when politics is brought into football as you pointed out it is nowhere near as strong as Old Firm.

The way a lot of the english lads on here are talking about religion in the old firm, like why does it have to be brought into football, they say it like its our fault and get right arced up about it. these religious ties to football clubs were formed over 130 years ago, and back then religion was a massive deal, life and death desicions were made on religion. children have been taught at a young age to follow in the religious footsteps of there grandfathers and fathers, but now it is starting to disapear with all the work done by the old firm to stamp out this behaviour and it is working.
you have to remember that when the british took northern ireland (where all this trouble stems from) it was the prody scots that were sent there to settle and gain a foothold in a catholic country, and that desicion to send the scots there in the first place was made in london. thats why scots have a connection to all this and it was hard to shake off. but it is starting to disapear
