so doubt it will in the future
if it staves off an attempt from iran in the future the risk is worth it IMO

The US have nuclear missiles coming out of their ears, they have a president with a single-digit IQ, and their government is effectively controlled by the corporations who make the stupid missiles in the first place... why aren't we afraid of them? :tt2:

We will have the potential for Russia in the next few decades, but it'll be because of energy - we're on a collision course with them imo.

In a few years we're going to be dependent on their good will to keep us supplied with oil - the tide's turning.

Putin is thinking of his next up coming election. And this rhetoric plays well to the Russian electorate. I think the US should do all it can to assure them over missile defence. But the Russians can't bully the US in the way it trys to bully it's neighbours.
