Which players would you like your club to sign?

As the January transfer window is getting ever closer. Which players realistically would you like your club to sign. I am still hoping the takeover will happen before then and that will give the Toon even more money hopefully to splash.

I would love us to sign SWP on loan with a view to a permanent deal Distin and Bridge to strengthen our defence and darren Bent and either Crouch/Nugent. If this happens I would be delighted now who do you hope your club signs?

I would like to see Woodgate sign a permanent deal, but I can't see it happening. I would like a pacey right winger, like you said, someone like SWP. And also another striker, someone like Collins John.

There is also players I would like to see out to raise some money for transfers.

Maccarone - Paid £8.2M for him and we'll be lucky to get £3M back for him.

Christie - Never seen him play a whole lot, but his not gonna be a superstar or even remotely close. Probably pick up about £1.2M for him.

Bates - We have some pretty good defenders already and if we can seel him then we should. Probs about £400K - £600K

Parlour - May aswell see what we can get for Parlour as I don't see him playing much. Cattermole is already better than he is currently in my eyes. Be lucky to fetch £500k for him, most likely go for free though.

John Terry would put the heart and determination but realistically I'd like to see Paul Evans come back, although I dobut we'd be able to afford him

Soz LOL. I agree with most of them Boro IMO are desperetely in need of a pacey right winger and also a pacey forward. darren bent would be a good signing IMO for you's. Your to one paced I think and the build up in Boro's attacks are far to slow its predictable and easy to defend against. thats why you score very few goals.

If Yakubu can find his form again, then he has the ability to be up there with the best. Viduka needs to get his fitness back too. A fully fit viduka is a great asset whit his back to goal ability and the skill he has but hardly shows. I think him and yak up front are a good pair. Yakubu is quite pacey and viduka can hold the ball up and give him chance to run through.

We're already signing Larsson for 3 months, I'd like to see another striker come in along with another centre midfielder. We don't have much depth in that area, if Carrick or Scholes get injured then we'll have to play O'shea in there

I would have him back. We should never have got rid of him, all it was, was Southgate trying to show players won't get special treatment from him. JFH is better than Maccarone, Christie and Graham, so why not get rid of one of them instead. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Look at the goals he scored for boro, most of there were pure class.

Emphasis on the 'realistic' part.

We will have a few million to spend after the sale of Beattie, would love to see either Barton or Nolan coming in, with a strike partner for AJ, Nugent will cost too much for January so maybe Smith on loan is Utd' bring in another striker. With Van Der Meyde getting fully fit over the coming month he will be like a brand new signing.

........................Howard
Neville........Yobo........Lescott.........Valente
VDM.....Nolan/Barton...Cahill...........Arteta
...................AJ...........???????
