Newcastle are plotting a move for Reading's England international Nicky Shorey - The Sun.

West Ham will sign Darren Bent from Charlton in an Â£18million deal - The Star.

Arsenal are looking to sign Thierry Henry's good friend David Trezeguet (The Sun), or Ryan Babel (The Mirror) in a bid to placate their skipper.

Birmingham are looking to sign Jason Koumas from West Brom (The Sun), and David Nugent from Preston (The Mirror).

However, Sunderland are also in the chase for Nugent and will wrap up a deal after the European Under 21 Championship - The Star.

Dennis Rommedahl could leave Charlton to join Rennes in France - The Sun.

Bolton are watching Turkish star Gokdeniz Karadeniz - The Mirror.

West Ham have offered Â£3million for Benfica striker Nuno Gomes - The Times.

Mario Melchiot will join Wigan on a free transfer on Wednesday - Daily Mail.

No way will West Ham get Gomes for 3 mill. I heard Fulham were also in on Koumas. Trezeguet would be good to partner with Henry at Arsenal. West Ham paying 18 mil for Bent is a rip. I think Nugent will try to hold out for Everton as long as he can and access his options if they don't come.

i can see either of the arsenal signings happening.
i think Koumas might leave but not to Birmingham.

Gokdeniz Karadeniz - Aren't 'Boro linked with him too. Nugent, no way will he go to Blunderland..infact I can't see the Makems making any fantastic buys?
