Steve Bruce has set his sights on completing a decade at Birmingham as he celebrates five years in charge of the Midlands club.
Bruce replaced Trevor Francis in December 2001 and became an instant hero when he guided the Blues into the top flight at the first time of asking, and now he wants to repeat that feat again.
He said: "The five years seem to have gone in a flash. There have been some ups and downs in that time.
"The Norwich game this season was the lowest point. I jumped in my car afterwards, went home and thought 'am I going to make a fight of things or not?'
"From that day, we've turned the corner. We've done nothing yet but we have got 25 points from 10 games and I do believe we will get better.
"Let's hope I can do another five years at Birmingham City. That's the aim - and I want to get us back to where we were. I enjoy the football club and the area and the vast majority of the fans are behind what we are trying to do."
