Sheffield United are hoping that an independent arbitration panel will overturn their relegation from the Premier League this week.

=============================
Hopefully justice will be done. And West Ham will be sent packing. I doubt it though as they have no balls. They will probably end up compensating Sheffield United.
I think its too late now to do anything, its dragged on for too long.

Hopefully Sheffield United will be put back into the Premier League tomorrow.
Rick Parry has given evidence for Sheffield Utd today according to the bbc. I doubt anything will change, West ham will only get a slap on the wrists.

Hopefully not. Would be a shame if the premiership is no longer decided by how many points you win.
What would be funny if West Ham got deducted 2 points
A decision will be made by the end of June apparantly.

FFS why is it taking so long? We were told we would get a decision by the end of today.
BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Sheff Utd | Blades must wait on appeal ruling (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/sheff_utd/6761225.stm)
Both sides must have a very good case then.

Yes if they need to take up to 10 days to decide!!
well we've got all summer to wait - we've waited since last August for some unrest as something was 'suspicious' when they signed so another 10 days wont bother me. I'm not bothered at all really as I know nothing will happen.

You don't know that nothing will happen, your just assuming, no one knows what will happen. Its an interesting case and if Sheffied United win, then this will make big history.
I think nothing will happen but I'm not 100% sure, its dragged on for too long, the 10 days wait will favour West Ham, the longer they leave it, the more the decision will be in West Hams favour.

why the wait...everyone knows that West Ham shouldve been docked points...hopefully justice will be served and a new disciplinary commission be setup

Wait doesn't make a difference about the result, if anything though it favours Sheffield United as it proves the panel are considering it seriously. Why is everyone so impatient, they're just trying to get the tension building...

Thing is, if Sheffield get put back in the Prem and West Ham go down, then West Ham have a perfectly legal case to have another court case going. It will be a hard decision for the Premier League if Sheffield win.

Well I would be confident with that statement. But no one knows what is going to happen.

I'm sure WH will launch an appeal but there's been so much attention and so much time take to reach a decision the courts won't change their mind.

If west ham stay up, i will absolutely flip, they shouldn't be in the premiership after what has happened, everyone else can see it so why can't the fa?
So, is anyone paying £45 for a standing ticket into the court case. I take it as part of Sky Sport's pledge to cover all the big premiership head to heads they'll be showing live coverage...who better to have as a role model than a group of lawyers in suits, much better than irresponsible footballers.

I can't see anything happening, however, what about giving them a minus points start so when the PL kicks off they are -3 points. I know Sheff U wouldn't be happy with that but it's kind of justice retrospectively. In the past teams have waited until the end of the season then gone into liquidation thereby holding on to their league status but starting with minus points
By which time Tevez would probably have left, along with every guilty person in the case, but hey why not punish the fans, the new manager, the innocent players for something that happened last season.

to be honest i think the FA know they made a mistake you cant fine 5 . 5 million and then say its not that serious to deduct points. The blades have every right to fight this as it was so wrong. West Ham deserve to go down, i had the discussion with my dad that if it was a lower league club then they would definitly have there marching orders. Its like Bury played an inlegible player in the Cup match with Chester i think it was they phoned up the loan players club and got there agreement, due to not filling in the roght form, they were fined and knocked out the cup. To me for Bury thats a harsher decision that what West Ham got for something more serious than whay Bury did. They go on about the FA being a serious organisation and what not yet they make stupid decisions like that. The whole country seem to be backing Sheffield United on this one, why don't they take note.
What if it had been Man City though, that size of fine would have hurt you more than a 3 point deduction. They can't always decide the punishment in context (although they did)
Does anyone know when this'll be resolved?
Does anyone know when this'll be resolved?
Not sure but i think its end of June.
