Just testing pop ups for 1 day.

You will only get 1 pop pup per 12hr period. Just helping to pay for the site as our main advertiser has pulled out which covered the costs for the site.

I don't see how it would work. More and more people are using firefox nowadays which has a built in pop up blocker.

one every 12hr period is nothing, it's basically one a day. Besides it helps the site out, and it cost us nothing to close a pop up.

I don't see why anyone would moan about any pop up blockers cos everyone has a pop-up blocker... even if they don't use Firefox, it's easy enough to just get a search engine toolbar which has them. If it's only 1 or 2 per day then it's nowt to complain about. :

We are making just under $1 per day with the popups and the banners after the 1st post. So that will be put towards the cost of hosting the site. The google ads vary but rarely go over $1 also as they depend on people clicking them if the adverts interest them.
