For obvious reasons. After we scored we played like a relagation team away to Chelsea.

He does have the mentality if going a goal ahead to just pack everyone back and hope and pray they don't score -even with an hour to go.

It ends up we can't string two passes together, they have all the ball and it ends up like shooting practice.

Right ang ang on

We have Steve Mcclaren and the former boss Sven. And your saying we shouldn't give PEARCE the u21 job

If you're worried about the Under 21's who just got into the Semi Finals and had a brilliant penalty shootout and was unlucky.

I think you need shooting soz

I'm aware of the achievement (first semi since 1984) it's just the dreadful performances that are of concern.

Didn't watch the game but nothing worse than doing a Martin Allen style let's sit back on a 1-0 lead...if that was the case and that is his attitude in general then he needs to change.

On the other hand if the players have performed well then the U21's is a completely different role because it's about developing players, i.e. performance as much as results and I don't care if they don't win anything, if he can bring the best out of them then that's all you can ask, even if he doesn't have the match tactics.

hmm, try watching that every home game last season and Paying for the pleasure. Its atypical stuart Pearce Tactic. BORING FOOTBALL. Did the FA not see how he performed last season. Stop whining its only the under 21s.

at that level you don't need master tacticians, all you need is someone to motivate the players, to go out and die for the shirt, and i think on last night's evidence, pearce is the right man for that

Erm, I think there's a little more to youth development that that.

I could say that about the England Senior Squad

Pearce beats Mclarren in every single way, he has good tatics, he knows whos the best and he aint a fool.

Look at the England Senior before looking at U21 Pls

Pierce has seemed to have done a good job with the Under 21s, I don't understand why he's disliked? He got us to the semi final didn't he? I haven't watched any of the games or followed it, but surely he can't be that bad.

Having not watched it easier probably because he's got defensive tactics but as I said earlier I don't care if we win a single match, if he can develop the talent there so players reach their potential then that's fine by me.

Motivation wise, Pearce has it, you can see the pride the lads had in that cup and even though they got knocked out dramatically, they walked away with pride.

He deserves more time with them, you can't expect the next person to waltz in and click his fingers and everything is all hunky dory.

Pearce is a shit manager, i cant believe he was one of the manager being linked to the england job before mclaren took it.. i dont like Mclaren , but he is easily a better manager than Pearce,

they do play the same boring type of football

Yes but although everyone claims 'U21' has been dire

They havn't been bood of the pitch yet? He hasnt' dropped one of the best freekickers and crosses in the world either

Didn't do well at Man City but has turned his reputation around with the under 21's. Wouldn't say he's a shit manager...

Really good line of argument that.
