I fear Celtic may be heading down a similar route as Rangersa did a few seasons ago by spending too much money. I believe it is in the best interest of Scottish football for the old firm or Scottish clubs in general to stick with home grown talent and make a name for the Scottish game that way. The signing of too many foreigners can only be bad for the future of our game in my opinion.

Celtic have spent around 8 million on 4 players. Not much by todays standards. We are too professionally run now to fall into the previous state of disrepair. Celtic have signed a lot of home grown talent in recent times(i.e Brown, Caldwell, Riorden, Miller, etc)but I see nothing wrong with signing foreign players of quality. It's just avoiding the mince. If the home grown talents are good enough(i.e McManus)then they'll command a first team place.
