From the official website:

Persistent standing has, over recent weeks, become an increasing issue particularly in the Matthew Harding lower tier.

To clarify the position with regards to persistent standing we would advise all supporters that it is an offence under the Ground Regulations and, as such, should supporters continue to stand the club may well have imposed upon it, a reduction in capacity in the areas where it occurs.

We understand that supporters will stand at times of excitement and this is acceptable but persistent standing does cause distress and discomfort to others.

The club has received complaints regarding the issue and we would urge you to respect your fellow supporters, senior citizens, adults and juniors in this regard.

I say up yours too...

I think there are alot of people who, even though they chose to sit down are quite happy for people to stand up. Maybe if everyone agreed to stand up at one game, in protest, it would have an effect.

Frankly if my club repaid my support by effectively telling me to sit down and shut up I'd either refuse or in the case of Brentford walk out to protect my safety given that all, sorry some, of our stewards are thugs and only in the job because they want a fight or they can't get a job anywhere else.

WHAT HAPPENED TO FOOTBALL?

Which people are whinging? I dount' think anyone would whinge really. There is nothing wrong with standing and people need to realise this. Each premiership club should have 1 stand where fans can stand, and i bet you if they did this, it would be the only stand that would be full all the time.

Standing is the way forward. Hilsborough wasn't caused because of Standing, it was caused because of overcrowding. Why should we all suffer because of the hilsborough disaster, its Health and safety gone mad.

It's just all the health and safety bollocks that goes on now...

Also I like the bit on the cfc statement
"Persistent standing causes distress to others".

No prizes for guessing who wins quote of the year:D
