To be honest..... No. Like you said, before he got injured at the world cup, he wasn't great. Even when he had supposed to have been fit at the end of last season, he didn't look good although you could say he needed proper match fitness.

Only time will tell if he can come back good.

The thing with Owen is he will always have the off the ball movement and finishing ability. Will the injuries slow him down enough to make him completely useless? I can't say.

Does the game have the space for his type of player ? (ie purely a goal poacher and not the type of player to track back and win a tackle which seems the "in" thing) Maybe not.

I'd love to see Owen do well, but I'm wondering if he'll be like Fowler. Shit for years, but the pundits still claiming he's great.

Fowler was obviously well on the way down when he was sold for Â£12m to the delighted Leeds.
