Does anyone know what the largest living organism on the planet is???

This is just a wee thread so people can spout out any useless information they have about nothing in particular.

The answer is infact not a blue whale or something which people probably thought it was but, there is infact a mushroom which people thought to be many clusters but recently discoverd that every little cluster was infact joined together under the soil and spans nearly 200 yards(The size might be wrong but you get the idea).

This sort of stuff might be useful in a pub quiz so post as many as you can think of lol

Did you know a Boost bar was made by Cadbury's!? :yikes: I only found out the other day when someone was telling me it was in a pub quiz and nobody got the answer right... I always thought it was a chocolate bar on it's own, like Dime Bar or Mars.:nod:

You know if you look at most wrappers you will probably find that most chocolate bars are made by companies which you know.

Do you know that in my home town of Paisley. Our observatory has a model thing of our solar system which was out of date for years because it never had Pluto on it since it was made before it was discovered.

But since Pluto has now been classed as a moon and not a planet. Our machine(model thing) is now one of the only accurate ones. :nod:

Its a big model thing in our observatory. It has all the planets in our solar system on it they all revolve(orbit) around each other just as our solar system does. Ours is more accurate because Pluto is not on it. Most places made their machine when they thought Pluto was a planet. Ours was made before they discovered Pluto. Now, since they have said that Pluto is a moon and not a planet then ours is actually correct and one of the only ones in the world that is.

Another strange fact about brands is that Dr. Pepper and 7Up are both owned by Cadbury's, however Coca-Cola are paying them for the rights to sell them in the UK. With in other country's Pepsi doing the same and in America Cadbury's selling Dr. Pepper and 7Up liscensed to themselves
