I must have installed something 2 weeks ago as when I left my dad said the computer wouldn't play videos, it was showing a blue screen and the audio.

Has anyone had this problem? If so, how can it be fixed.

sounds like a video codec problem... best to uninstall what you installed (if you can remember) or try upgrading the codec(s).
This codec pack is a good one:
Free-Codecs.com : Download K-Lite Codec Pack 3.25 FULL, K-Lite Codec Pack 3.25 STANDARD, K-Lite Codec Pack 3.25 BASIC : K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools

the basic one is more than enough, standard will cover almost everything, the full one is over kill.

Nope that didn't work.

Still shows a blue screen in WMP, Winamp and Real Player. VLC plays for a bit then crashes. This is with all the videos on my computer.

Too many conflicts with vista!
I cant use alcohol 120% at all,or divx to dvd.the pc just wont have it.

I re-installed my graphics card drivers and they all work fine now.
