£26.5 Million, I really hope he gets injured, not that I don't like the guy, its just then people might not risk spending money on overpriced players!!! Makes me sick this does, they spend £26.5 million on a player yet the other week Scarborough went out of business due to a £2.5 million debt!!!

This is football at the worst.

they can risk all they want it's there money and i'll be the one laughing when he flops. I can't see him being great, i reckon he'll be like Shevchenko was.

Hope this is Morientes II. Always good to look on the bright side, better than them getting Villa or Eto'o, two players who I believe would suit the premiership well.

I hope they have wasted there money!!! That price can not be justified!!!

hahaha yeah either that or they blackmailed the club, saying they would Riot outside Athletico Madrids ground until they sold the player. I've heard there good at fighting and giving the English a bad name abroad.

Hopefully. I enjoyed the latter stages of La Liga this season with 3 teams involved and 4 at one stage. It would be good to see Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal all in there late on. That would be great entertainment.

It does get boring in a weird way, but come the end of the seaon you always support one of the two teams more than the other one. I wanted Chelsea to win due to Uniteds cheating though the season (*cough* ronaldo *cough*)

should be a great signing. hes a quality striker. wouldve rated him at 20 million but considering he's atletico madrid's top star. the 26.5 million is a bit justified.

I think it's a big gamble by Liverpool. It unusual for Liga players to settle in to the Prem and do well. Most often is the other around Prem players seem to do better once they move to Spain (ie. Kanute, Forlan to name a few)
