I usually take this route from Portsmouth To Middlesbrough.

Depart From Portsmouth

M3
A34
M40
M42
A42
M1
A1
A19
A172

Arrive @ Middlesbrough

But i always get stuck in shit traffic on the M1 and every other friday on the M42/A42. I'm just wondering if this route is better, its 20 miles longer though, but might be quicker if there is less traffic.

Can't help you with that but just wondering why do you live in boro if your in the navy and always have to go to portsmouth?

Because i'm not leaving Middlesbrough, i think its quality and all the family is there.

toll roads are great i use it when i goto london its great, and i have never met traffic on it, and there are signs before you get there telling you about the status of the trafic
