I can't wait and neither can anyone else i've spoken to. On August the 11st the Premiership, The Championship, League 1, League 2 and the Blue Square Premier League (Old Conference) all kick off. There are still a lot of transfers that need sorting out, such as the closely watched Teves loan to Manchester United and the Nugent move which everyone keeps failing when trying to sign him.
I can't remember when all the leagues started the new season on the same day. Usually the lower leagues start a week earlier than the Premiership but this season everyone starts on the same day and thats something special. There's nothing worse than everyone else watching football except for the Premier League whom start the following week. But August the 11th is the start of the season for everyone.
The new smoking ban will mean the filthy smokers will not be able to smoke "anywhere" within foorball stadiums which in my eyes is a good thing, the ban on smoking in the seated or terrace area has been in force for most clubs for a long time, the same with the fact that no beer is allowed to be drunk in the seated terrace area either. They will be stopping people from breathing soon, you can't stand in the seated areas either!!
I'm just whinging now so i'll end today's blog!!
