Chelsea have announced that they have reached an agreement with Olympique Lyonaiss for the 27 year old star. Although no official price tag was revealed, it is predicted that Malouda is worth around Â£13m.

The french winger is expected to join Chelsea in their US pre-season tour after a passing a medical and agreeing to personal terms.

i think he will fit in well as chelsea's wingers always seem to be picking up injurys quite regulary, this means there is enough back up. Roben won't be going anywhere!

somthing chelsea needed last season was back up, there going to need all the help they can get this season, with united and liverpool getting stronger

Yeah Chelsea haven't bought any "big" named players have they. They have enough players I think to fight for the title but it won't be an easy ride and to be honest, I think they will struggle to stay in contention for the title with United easily winning it in April.

Big names? They just signed Malouda, surely thats a big enough name, considering they don't need anymore.
