I'm a big admirer of SWP and think he's capable of being a large part of Englands future. However, I don't see his game improving while he's a Chelsea player who remains fourth in the pecking order in West London. Obviously he'd start regularly for 17 or 18 of the Prem sides or would he be better off abroad? IMO he should go to Arsenal, where he'd be loved simply for his dad, or perhaps playing at Newcastle under Big Sam. The idea of having Duff SWP Martins and Owen all going forward together is a devastating prospect. What does everyone else make of his situation, and would you welcome him at your club? I know I would, but it just would never happen!
Found this quote on a football website. I don't rate SWP at all. He's pretty poor tbh, yeah he can run but his shooting and crossing of what I've seen is pathetic. I agree with him that his game would improve if he was playing first team football for another premiership team.
He's done well on the rare times he's managed to get a game for Chelsea. Scored with a great finishfor England against Ukraine seem to remember
He's a good player when he has confidence...if West Ham are still interested he'd be a decent replacement for Benayoun.

I really thought pretty highly of SWP when he played for City. It was a lot of fun watching him run down the flanks. But he's been crap, from what I've seen, since moving the Chelsea. Big mistake, IMO. I've seen him linked with Spurs this summer and wouldn't mind having him (although he's not exactly what Spurs need). Hopefully a change of scenery would do him good. His career is sinking at Chelsea. :boat:

Yes he needs to get out, I think clubs will buy him but not the big clubs as he's season hasn't been that good. He's fast but he loses the ball too much and he doesn't really do anything with it.
hes fool, he should join West ham before, but too late now thats i got Ljungberg. ;)
what a waste. he need leave now before 31st Aug or will sit on the bench forever! :nodyes:
