Why have they got FIFA involved?

He can't have a medical at United until West Ham have made an offer that has been accepted. He is under contract with West Ham for 4 years so he's under their control.

It seems to me that United are bullying West Ham. Obviously Manchester United will get Teves as they are a big Football Company. But surely at the end of the day, if West Ham don't want to sell him then they can keep him for 4 years, on the bench haha :).

Never thought I'd hear you saying you had sympathy for West Ham lol

I actually think West Ham are going to keep Tevez, even if it's against his wish because it's so complicated and they wouldn't want to risk getting into serious trouble if he leaves. Egghead's got enough money to pay him till the end of the contract. I think in a peverse way West Ham will benefit from all this as it will give them an excuse to keep him.

United aren't bullying anyone.

This whole fiasco is exactly that. Completely murky and shouldn't have a place in the game.

Well surely all Manchester United have to do is, offer West Ham the right amount of money.

If West Ham own the player...

Gill says their confident about getting him, but I don't know why.

- Tevez is owned by MSI.
- West Ham need to receive most of the transfer money

The only way they'll do it is through a 4 year loan.

Maybe they do

I think we should have just given West Ham some transfer money in the first place, instead of letting it get out of control.

And to answer this
>>Why have they got FIFA involved?

Same reason Liverpool did. To get it sorted out.

No doubt FIFA will side with United as they are the bigger of the clubs and it will be in the best interests of the game to let Teves play for the club he wants to.

I can see West Ham getting nothing out of this. Which wouldn't be a bad thing.

But seriously, all Manchester United have to do it pay the requested transfer fee which West Ham are asking for. Thats how all the other transfers go, unless they are for free.

Football is getting to complicated these days.

If Man Utd want him that much and Tevez really wants to go, the only way he will join them is if he "quits" West Ham. Yes he will have to pay the severance himself but surely Man Utd will make sure he won't be left out of pocket by giving him a large signing on bonus.

The problem at the moment with football is that club's are not acting fairly when it comes to transfers. West Ham are keeping him against his will, surely that's like false imprisonment?

West Ham fucked themselves over by entering into the whole murky deal in the first place. If the Premiership hadn't shot themselves in the foot with it all it would have been sorted by now.

The amount of digging and face saving from WHU and the EPL is cringeworthy.

yes it is indeed!!

They are basically not selling him as they "West Ham" know that the majority of the payment from United will be given to Teves's owner.

He's not that much imprisoned if he was at Manchester Uniteds ground. Surely thats "tapping up the player" if he has agreed a contract behind West Hams backs? If thats the case then Manchester United should be Fined.

Anyway Teves signed a 4 year deal with West Ham so he has to really obey the deal if he likes it or not.

No not really. It's obvious he doesn't want to be at WHU anymore, he's said that himself several times. But he is being kept there against his will. The only way he will be able to leave is if MU crack open the piggy bank (which they seem reluctant to do) or he walks out on the club knowing that a MU contract will be on the table when he does leave. So he's hardly being "tapped up" in the true sense of the phrase.

He's officialy a Man Utd player now, not match fit though. Our coaching staff are saying they're amazed how fit and sharp he actually is. He's likely to play at City next week. :thumbup1:
