I think the stadium is going to be incredible, although the capacity isnt too impressive, I like the idea that its not all modern-looking with big windows outside (like Liverpool) and has the traditional 4 stand design. Only thing that I read someone saying on another forum, was that it looks like a cake with candles on top :D

Was chuffed to see those pictures. Looks like it's going to be an excellent stadium. The corners aren't filled in as the stadium is expandable to over 60,000 seats in the future if needed. Love how it's 4 indivudal stands at the moment, close to the pitch and steep.

There is a rival plan for a stadium being drawn up this week which should be interesting to see.

Is that the plan to build on 'the loop'? I read a good thing on that today, but funding is a major major problem

Looks good. What's the expected construction time, if approved?

Looks alot lot better than the other Scousers and it makes a change from a dome. Looks nice, it would be great to go to.

I prefer this to The New Anfield.

Obviously, it's an exaggerated picture, but I like the look of the stadium.

Yeah that's where I read it from, Toffeeweb?
Only problem I have is I really could see a stadium fitting there, but it would have to be a bowl, Goodison Park s it is now wouldnt fit there.

Finnished by 2011 I think, but they said the estimate is very conservative,

If Everton Fans do get their heads together and realise this is a great stadium and its a moving point for EFC, I can't wait to visit it for first time!

How do you feel about the move to kirkby? Im not from the UK or anything but I think I'd prefer if we moved there, mostly because of the really low price it will cost us to move there and the growth of more fans from that area.

It's not a big issue at all in my opinion. However to alot of people it is.
I see Kirkby as part of Liverpool, the only arguement against it not being from Liverpool is an invisible border of councils, created by the government.
This stadium will be brilliant. We cannot get anything like this on Liverpool City Council land, as unlike our rival club, we are not allowed to build on a Victorian Park.
The land offered to us is minimal and unrealistic, from what I know we had a piece of land in south Liverpool offered, which is currently OWNED by Ford for holding it's cars, a Stadium wouldn't fit there and it is right next to a retail park. And also a piece of land right by the city centre, sort of in the middle of a loop road .. again not big enough.
Knowlsey Council are offering us a large piece of land for free, with Tesco also giving us money towards it, with the sale of Goodison and Naming right it will be in compariosn to other clubs, a little amount for a stadium of it's quality. We cannot pass up on oppertunities like that.
The plans for Redeveloping goodison have been releseased ( Keep Everton In Our City - LATEST NEWS (http://www.Keioc.net) ) . It looks disgcusting. Goodison Park forever to me will always be the real home of Everton, but times change and we have to put things behind us. I would rather remember Goodison for how it is and was now, rather than see it perverted into that.
I've put those pics on ther forums, and had the like of Inter Milan fans, people used to the San Siro, saying how excellent it looks. We haven't had much to be proud of as Evertonians in recent years, this stadium we can be proud of.
