Anyone ever had a background check?

Went to the RNR recruitment evening last night, got some forms to fill in to join.

The MOD will be running background checks on me.

Has anyone ever had one done? Not that I have anything to hide of course:D

My Dad reckons they find out who all your mates are:eek: But that seems unlikely to me.

I've had background security checks for immigration. As long as you have nothing to hide, you're alright

I had one when I started working in the prisons. Infact I had to have them 4 weeks before if I was going to a prison I had never been to. Used to have them nearly every week.

I think your dad might be having you on there lol. If they checked up on mates I would never have been allowed near a prison.

Well since I know people you used to hang about with, I know you wouldn't work in a prison. Anyway, why did you need one cliffy?

Yeah, I can understand them checking on family, that's fair enough.

It's meant to take an average of 10 weeks, so that's some muck they can rake up if they look over everyone you've ever talked to though:D

I did work in prisons lol. I worked in them for nearly a year, thats why I had them.

I had it done when I was in security and also when looking for other security work. Is that other check still going? Forgot what its called DC10 or summat and you go down to plod station and pay a tenner then they run a check and give you a copy to show at interviews like you would a referance. Going back 10-15 years by the way :D

the father, brother or relatives basically check up on the man
