New managers often have immediate effect and WHcould really cause Manu problems but I don't think they've got enough for Manu, especially if they play like they have been recently

3-1 Manure

Difficult game for curbishley to start his west ham management. i personally dont think pardew should have been sacked. and i think West Ham will suffer from the new owner coming in.

We'll be dominating the game from start to finish I think. West ham won't have had enough time to preaper with the manager coming in and whatnot.

We will need to win, if we don't and chelsea do the gap will be just 2 or 3 points. 0-3 my guess.

United too strong. They always seem to do well at Upton Park anyway, whatever the circumstances.

West Ham 1-3 United

Well i'm standing by my word that Chelsea will win the league yet again.

I cant believe west ham won, how can they be so different with curbs being in charge for 5 days. You ve got to feel sorry for Pardew a little bit.

RedRabbit
17-12-2006, 17:50
possible reason:
-Players wanna show that it was their lack of form that put them in the relegation area, not Pardew.
-They have to impress the new manager... January is 14 days away.

But i'm just being a smart ass. :p

Did I see right?, I saw Reo in tears at the end of the match. Did anyone else notice that?

i didnt watch it i just heard it on the radio as i was in the car on the way back from eastlands. I think with Chelsea winning it was all becomming a bit real that the comfort zone at the top is disappearing. Which Reo, Reo Coker or Ferdinand.

RedRabbit
17-12-2006, 17:53
Reo-Coker... forgot about Ferdinand, sorry for the confusion

bluemoon
17-12-2006, 17:55
No Problem ,im confused easily its not your fault.

Maybe he was overcome by scoring against united. I heard he was a possible target for the devils in the summer. I bet they wish they had raised the funds now. I rate reo as a player i thikn he really should be in the England set up.

Obvious it was going to happen. United of old today, plenty of ball but no cutting edge.

Hmm i'm gonna have to watch this game, along with the Chelsea one tonight.

Big turning point in the season, or it could be. United's thin squad was shown up a bit today. All the big players looked tired and they had no-one of similar quality to bring on, although robert Green still needed to have a good game, even with United only firing on one cylinder

almouchie
17-12-2006, 20:23
man united had several good chances to end the match
but their players were not performing
man united need to buy a striker, maybe even a winger too
when rooney isnt playing well, manu seem to struggle
as giggs/ scholes can be expected to score everytime he/saha doesnt

Nick Feints
17-12-2006, 20:29
they need quality in depth all over the park. look at what Chelsea can bring on if they're not playing too well.

Man U can only bring on people like Solskjaer, who's past it, john o'shit and that Park fella, who was half fit, and isnt really ever gonna crack it at OT

RedRabbit
17-12-2006, 20:31
They're recalling a bunch of loaned players and bringing in Larsson in January. I can only assume that Fergurson wants to increase the depth of the team for the rest of the season.

3-1 Manure

4-1

0-3 my guess.

West Ham 1-3 United

2-0 Man U.

3-1 to Man Utd

well, all of you are WRONG!!:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

WEST HAM 1 - 0 MAN UTD!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Reo-Coker and Curbs!!:D

Nick Feints

Larsson will be huge and will make a big impact. I reckon he'll stay on too. The loaned players arent good enough already, but I suppose the more the merrier

almouchie
17-12-2006, 20:42
man u need a lot more than just Larsson who is a stop gap that Fergie is hoping was 10 years younger & a few yards faster
being realistic after chelsea win & manu loss, the gap of 2 points is nothing,
it looks more likely that chelsea will bounce back, than manu maintaining their form with their current thin squad
the bench is weak that simple, besides what was fergie thinking bringing in oshea for heinze, what tactic was he imploring,
its crucial for them to bring in several players if they are to fight for title come march, becoz that when it will be clear who has the edge & points gap

MOTD were harsh on WH last night, there wasn't that much wrong with the way Manu played, WH just played better. Great job by Curbs, although next match will be harder and there's still a long way to go

Bit like the Celtic game, everyone on the forum expected us to demolish them.

There were too many mistakes at the back today, Van der sar made a cruical save from Zamora. We had chances during the game but like kiko said, again we lacked that cutting edge. If it was still Pardew, it would of been a different story.

lol, yeah....if Pardew, we may lose 5-0 tho!:D

Yeah Man Utd play better than Hammers, well, you know we are lucky! :p

West Ham did everything right to stop the best team in the league. The defence were on top, the keeper was man of the match and the strikers took their chances, (apart from Zamora!)
