BORO this morning completed the signing of England international right-back Luke Young from Charlton Athletic on a four-year deal.
Young, 28, won a League Cup-winners' medal with Spurs before joining the Valiants for £4m in 2001 and has since made more than 200 appearances for the club.
He has also won seven England caps, finishing on the winning side for his country six times.
A tough-tackling player who loves to get forward on the overlap, the six-footer has also provided cover at centre-back for his club.
His consistent form led to him being given the skipper's armband and he has also won Player of the Year awards.
The clubs agreed a £2.5m fee earlier in the week.
A press conference has been called for tomorrow afternoon when further details will be revealed.
