Don't know how reliable this is (I always take the silly British papers with a grain of salt), but according to the Mirror Spurs have finally wrapped up a deal for Hertha midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng. He's expected to be in London this week to agree to a contract and have a medical. The fee is said to be 4.5 million pounds.

Don't know much about him but he must be pretty decent if Tottenham are going after him. Oh and yeah the British papers are shit.

Yeah, Spurs have been linked with him for awhile. He's the sort of tough tackling midfielder the team needs.

As for the British papers, it boggles my mind to read some of the crap they print regarding football with no attribution to any source or anything. It's like they just make up stuff or turn the most flimsy evidence into a big sensational story. So I never really believe anything until it's announced by a club or maybe if it turns up on BBC. I have to say, though, that the papers in Spain are even worse. :hahaha::hahaha:

Great signing, lets hope he gels as quickly as Kaboul and Bent.

Yeah, they've really fit in right away. Taarabt has been looking good too. Now I'd like to see Spurs sign Royston Drenthe, the Dutch U-21 left winger from Feyenoord, but I've been seeing him linked strongly to Real Madrid. Curtis Davies and Vedran Corluka have been linked to Spurs too. I'm anxious to see how it all pans out. :thumbup1:

Corluka would be a great signing, but I'd rather wait until next season and make a bid on Wesley Sneijder. What a signing that would be - but he wants to play for Ajax for one more year.

Would Corluka be a replacement for Chimbonda who looks like he might be going to Chelsea?

Dyer would also be a good signing, but an unlikely one.

Yeah, I like Dyer too. He would certainly fill a need. I'm wary about his injury history though. Of course, it seems like everyone gets hurt at Newcastle, so maybe it's something in the water? :boat:

He is a quality player, but one we don't really need. We have plenty of Centre Midfielders and if we didn't get Boateng I'd have said we should sign him, I am now not too bothered.

A midfielder I would love would be Morten Gamst Pedersen, who would definitely fix our left wing troubles.

Gamst Pedersen would be great. Fantastic left foot. A Beckham-like bend on the ball. I've seen him damn near put the ball in the net on a corner kick. He'd be perfect, but I doubt Blackburn would be willing to let him go.

Probably not, not to another English Club anyway, if he came to a club in the top 5 he would certainly become a brilliant player. But he'll want to leave if Blackburn don't produce anything in the near future.
