The charity shield kicks off tomorrow with Manchester United and Chelsea battling it out for the first bit of Silverware of the season. People are calling this a non game and a lot of people don't care who wins. But surely it must be good to win something so early to get your clubs confidence up.
Hopefully both teams will play fairly strong sides and the New Wembley will be a sell out. I myself am not really bothered who wins this, being a neutral I just want to see some football as i've not seen any for a long time.
My prediction though will be a Manchester United win if they play a full strength squad.
i bet chelsea'll win wit all my dough.:thumbup1::thumbup1:

Chelsea I hope will win, however Man Utd might, but I have faith in Jose's abbility to win something else with Chelsea. :) Now that the owners and him have stopped throwing their dirty nappies at each other

I wonder how the Chelsea team will play this season. They might have actually bonded together, last season they just bought loads of players who had not played together before and it showed with their poor performances.

agreed but it also showed that the can't do without certain players. Without the Likes of Drogba, Lampard, Terry and Cech, they would get thrased every game
Cech got injured they lost 4 on the bounce
Terry got injured they conceded 2+ every match
Lampard wasn't on so they couldn't assist
Drogba, well his goals sum up why theyll miss him
If they dont get any injuries I think theyll win league, if they have problems with their main players like last season theylll lose.

Chelski all the way
Hargreaves and Anderson wont play and we have Scholes injured so I'm not looking forward to the midfield battle. If we defend like we did against Inter then we'll be thrashed. Hopefully it'll be a good game to kick off the season. 1-1 and a Utd win on penalties.
I read an article on cfc's website saying Cole kept Ronaldo in his pocket all game, however there always stupidly biased, is it true?
Cole and Ronaldo are always close battles. I'd say Cole shaded it yesterday. Ronaldo looked off the pace.
He's going to be important for Chelsea this season, last season he was probably adjusting and getting back to full fitness but if he managed to keep Ronaldo at bay (even if he was off pace) then it shows he's back to full form.
