Reports have stated that coach Steve Round has left Middlesbrough Football Club by mutual consent.

After Steve McClaren's departure to the England camp, Round was given a role as a coach at Boro with Malcolm Crosby taking over the Assistant Manager's role, previously occupied by Round. Round took a position as an England coach as well as being a coach for Boro, however, he has now departed company with Boro.

Round's departure has been stated as amicable, and although Round’s abilities are highly regarded he is thought of as being part of the McClaren era at the Riverside. It is understood that a financial settlement has already been reached with Round, who had three-and-a-half years of his contract still to serve, he departs with immediate effect.

Not sure this will have much of an effect on the club really, am sure Southgate and Crosby can handle the coaching.

I've got a funny feeling there is going to be more bad goings on at the club. Something isn't right!!!

It might not sound too bad but i'm sure it can take affect on the club some way. I wonder if you need to get another coach then..

I don't think it is too bad a thing, my opinion is that Round had too many traits from the McClaren era and that this could have been stopping the team moving on from and becoming Southgate's team.

This will be proven over the next few games, with Southgate now having the coaching staff he wants in place - Malcolm Crosby and now Colin Cooper. I hope things do start to change on the pitch, as we need to climb the table.
