This is a very hard punishment. I thought it would have been reduced.

Too bad for them. So it will be another relegation (after this season) unless they pull off a Juventus :nodyes:

Well its going to be hard. I don't see if they club is in financial difficulty, WHY!!! They have to have points deducted? Its just pathetic. I think they should field quality illigal players owned by dodgy people as you only get fines for them. Just get 4 or 5 excellent players and its only a £5.5million fine per player!!

Sorted !!! :)

Doesn't suprise me in the slightest TBH, the other League One clubs won't have had any interest in justice or doing the right thing, they just wanna make things easier for themselves.

It's all bullshit really, the Football League rules state that a CVA isn't necessary if "exceptional circumstances" apply. They said our circumstances were exceptional, so we've therefore acted within the rules (again!) and they've decided to knock 15 points off us! Contrast that to Milan who got 8 points deducted for match-fixing, and West Ham who knowingly break the rules, lie about doing so, get caught out and get f**k all!

And before Kiko chimes in I know they all fall under different organisations, but it's still bollocks.

Totally agree with you there mundi.

It is a disgrace tbh, its basically one rule for one club and another rule for another club. Oh well mundi, unlucky mate. You can still stay up. Doesn't mean your relegated does it.

F**k no, even more incentive to stay up now and really piss em off. Some of our pre-season performances have been really encouraging, and we've now got a squad full of players who are willing to play for Leeds United for free and really want to be here and get us out of this division and back up into the Championship.

Gonna be hard to feel much sympathy the next time a club comes to us cap in hand looking for a bailing out.

F**k em all

We're Leeds United
We'll never be defeated

You know me too well. ;)

But yeah I'm not entirely suprised. The Football League seem like a right set of bastards compared to the chummy Premier League.

You stay up this year and it could be the thing to turn you around. Must be a worrying time seeing your team slip into oblivion.

Oh and Petition to: Increase the (latest) points deduction on Leeds United FC. (http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/LeedsUtd-30pts/) :p

Haha did you start that? Or was it one of our "bitter rivals" like Burnley or Derby? :p

kiko

I didn't start it no, someone linked me to it. Seems a popular petition with Ken Bates signing it a few times!

Just shown that c**t Mawhinney on SSN grinning like a Cheshire Cat talking about his "overwhelming majority". Don't patronise us with your "Leeds United are still a very welcome and very respected member of the Football League family" crap either :ranting:

Oldham and Gillingham can f**k off too, they don't even seem to know what the f**k they've punished us for!

Wisey's just been on, fantastic stuff TBH. Said he feels like the Football League and other chairman have not only cut his arms and legs off but his balls as well. Not suprised about the deduction as none of the League One clubs will have wanted to see Leeds succeed anyway. He also said that the club, the fans (and the YEP :D) have got to stick together, and that's it's now very much a case of "Leeds United against the world".

Ended his interview by saying, "we've signed Andrew Hughes from Norwich today, and I said to him 'we're minus 15 points, we've lost the appeal', and he just said 'no problem gaffer, let's just pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, and get on with it', and that's the great thing, we've now got players who WANT to play for the club".

Top marks to Andrew Hughes and top marks to Dennis Wise.

WE'RE LEEDS UNITED
WE'LL NEVER BE DEFEATED

Exactly. "get on with it". It's just a bump in Leeds history You will get back up there, it will take time and patience but I see Leeds back in top flight within my life time. You're still producing young talent in the academy and doubt that's going away any time soon

This apparently is the list of clubs who supported Leeds' appeal -

Bradford City
Burnley
Colchester United
Darlington
Gillingham
Ipswich Town
Nottingham Forest
Plymouth Argyle
Queens Park Rangers
Sheffield United
Sheffield Wednesday
Stockport County
Stoke City

Wrexham

The rest said NEIN!

Gillingham voted to uphold the 15-points, so I wouldn't put too much faith in that list TBH.

I'd be very interested to find out how Cardiff voted I have to say...

Italian teams got theirs reduced after corruption.

Poor day for football.

You can't compare situations as it is different governing bodies.

Not saying it's fair, just a fact.

Rio got banned for what? 12 months? for missing a test. Mutu got about 8 despite being coked up.

Happens innit.

Doesn't make it right or fair though innit.

No. But you know, apathy rules the roost until it happens to you then you hope you have enough about you to stand up and fight.

At least Leeds have shown that.
