Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick insists the side will not get involved in any mind games with Chelsea as the title chase hots up.

mind games do seem to be blown out of all proportion by the media, but saying that mourinho, ferguson, wenger, benitez and the like slagging each other off is not big and not clever! LETS JUST PLAY FOOTBALL!!!! :)
fair play to carrick, the players shouldn't get involved and should just show what they can do on the pitch.
I don't understand mind games in football. It isn't a pyschological game like tennis you just kick a ball around and try and get it in the back of the net.
Its not as if there playing poker! they'd have to be equipped with sunglasses so they couldn't see if they were lieing or not :rolleyes:
But any confrontation there is, players shouldn't have to worry about it, just get on with there game and play football.
