It would be so funny if he doesn't do the business and Liverpool struggle, I hope he does become the biggest flop in the game. 21 million for 1 player, hahaha.
I'm not bothered how much people spend on players - it's there money afterall. but, I do hope he flops as it would be a laugh at the scousers - a waste of £20m :D

bitter bastards. Should be glad a player of his quality and his potential as decided to come to the premiership rather than stay in spain as they would have done in the past.
20 million is a lot but is still dwarfed by the record fee paid out by both chelsea and man United.

dont think anyone really does - not even the local TV Companies in the north east. Torres is a good player but he will take time to settle I think, just like Drogba and maybe Sheva.

I would think he will settle in faster than sheva as they are totally different type of strikers plus torres isn't short of pace.

i don't actually think he'll score loads of goals, he's not exactly a goal machine in Spain, i think he's a great player though, but maybe not the answer to their goal crisis

seriously, that's the worst you could think of? Not Abel Xavier, el-Hadj Diouf, Djimi Traore, or any of those other space-wasters Houllier brought in?
That being said, glad to have Torres here. Glad we decided to stop dropping 4 or 5 million here and there on role players, in hopes of comimg up with the next Sami Hyypia. That adds up eventually; much rather see us dump a ton on one proven goal-scorer.
