Will Middlesbrough Have a Hard Season?

I don't personally think we will. But the pundits on MOTD say we will. It was out first game, on MOTD for the less than 5 min we were on, we looks good. Just defence let us down but they are injured.

Can't really say this after 1 game lol. I hate shearer and dick head!! Liniker is all right. I think we will have a good season.

Yeah, i think you're in for a hard season. So many teams around you improved while you seem to remain relatively the same. I would find it hard pressed to see you finish in the top 10. You'll finish around the same spot as last season 12-14. If you can be more consistent against lower opposition like you do against the top 4 you could finish top 10, but i realistically can't see it.

I reckon we will be in a good chance of getting in the top half of the prem. I'd even be happy with 10th place. We need our defenders back, Huth, Woodgate, Pogatetz. Once they're back we should be fine. Also, Mido will probably come to the boro so we have another striker and we have no problem in finding the net. I hope Middlesbrough can shut everybody up by coming 10th or 9th.

Yeah, I agree with that. Once our defenders are back boro should have a pretty good team. Aliadiere and Tuncay were good yesterday and hopefully they'll start scoring goals for us. The yak isn't going anywhere and we'll get goals from him.

Your certainly going to have to work very hard if you want to get into the top half of the table I think. I think you needed to buy more quality into the club.

I think I predicted the club to finish in 14th place. They will struggle, as they have the past few seasons. If they just get some more money to spend and get some more players to work together on the pitch they could finish 10th or even 9th. They just throw too many points away with sloppy performances at the moment.

Its only one game though. We have most of the defence injured at the moment, Woodgate, Huth so when they are back we won't be letting in sloppy goals like we did yesterday. For out first competitive game i'm pretty happy with the performance, not so much with the result but you can't win every game.

Boro didn't look too bad, just a tad sloppy. If they get their injured players back and manage to really work as a unit they will finish out the relegation zone. I really can't see the team doing any better than 11th, however.

I love the way people expect boro to do so poorly like the way they expected us to do rubbish in the uefa cup and most other cups. I bet nobody expected boro to win the carling cup, or get into the final of the UEFA cup. Once our back line is back to fitness boro will be awesome. We played good football yesterday, but we couldn't stop them 2 goals going in tbh.

Yesterday was like watching a different boro.. we were attacking all match and looked very good..

blackburn had two shots in that match that says it all.. just need to bury our chances.. i dont see why we cant finish about 10th.. we need Pogatetz and Woodgate back quickly though

There's no reason why you can't finish 10th. It's just Boro seem to dissapoint. Just looking at the teams in the league and it's hard to see how they can. I'm sure you can see how you can finish in the top 10, i just don't think it's realistic.

The only reason we didnt finish them off early in the match was because of poor finishing..
