Look where they are!!!!

Apparently your playing ok but you just can't score. What is the problem?

Well that's all well and good, BUT Liverpool have still NEVER won The Premiership and they won't while Rafael Benitez is manager either.

It's erm, 2 games into the season.

Only last week most of you were wanking yourself into a frenzy about how we would be winning the league at a canter, how we were "buying" the league.

Behave.

We're creating chances, we're missing a few players especially Saha for my money. It's not all doom and gloom.

RedRabbit
16-08-2007, 17:30
It's only 2 games in, a lot can happen from now until the end of the season to Utd and other teams. Besides didn't Utd have a difficult start last season as well?

Why and where does Liverpool come into this thread! BB caution him! :nodyes:
Oh and i would just laugh at you if it turns out we do win it!

Darren
16-08-2007, 17:30
I notice you're not arguing with my central point though are you? Not a chance you'll win the Premiership while Rafael Benitez is the manager, just wait and see.

:hahaha: ive reached to the point where it doesnt matter how much i argue over and over. My point will be shown to you on the pitch this season

So where will Liverpool finish, and where will Manchester United finish at the end of the season then? I await your predictions.

I know its only two games. But surely you should have won 1 of them.

Darren
16-08-2007, 17:37
I am in no way a Manchester United fan, but some of the things being said by other fans (Liverpool fans especially) are just laughable really.:hahaha:

It all makes a good read, but they should be in the "Make Me Laugh Forum" ;).

Hahaha you're proper funny mate. My predictions as you have requested are 1. Liverpool 2. Man Utd although this has no relevance to the thread. Oh and pardon my ignorance Darren but where is Mossley

kiko

Its not the end of the world. You don't win the league after two games.

You honestly believe that as well don't you mate, which is the really worrying part? You will NEVER win the Premiership while Rafael Benitez is in charge, just mark my words.:thumbup1: I doubt you will win it in the 10 years to be honest, but we shall see.

triniboi101

Honestly no chance mate. You won't win it in the next 10 years in my opinion really but let's see, by the Mossley is in Tameside.

nah we got off to our best ever start in the premiership winning 4 out of 4. The reason we cant score is because we dont have any strikers.

kiko
16-08-2007, 17:58
You could at least say why they won't instead of repeating "they won't cos I said!!!".

I thought you would be on my side here mate, anyway there are many reasons but Rafael Benitez being the manager is the main one.

kiko
16-08-2007, 18:02
I'm not on anyones side. I'm trying to say it's much more compelling to agree with someone if they have a reason for it rather than "because it is".

Benitez may do the job. In my opinion some of the players he buys are average at best and he has a natural ability to fuck up strikers which will hamper them.

Darren
16-08-2007, 18:03
He's a good European manager (although a bit lucky) but a very average Premiership one.

I think it's a fair bet to say that Mau Utd and Chelsea will monopolize the premiership for the next 3 seasons at least. Can't see Liverpool or Arsenal troubling them somehow and I don't think either of them are capable of getting within 15 points of the top two this season.

You won't be too far off with that mate, Manchester United or Chelsea to be champions (possibly United for me) I then would say Liverpool perhaps managing the 3rd place. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Arsenal finished 3rd though to be honest.

Leagues are decided over 38 games not two. The fact is Reading and Portsmouth are difficult sides to play against, I mean not beating Reading who have 11 men behind the ball isn't great but it's not a disaster and Pompey they struggled without Rooney I understand (I haven't watched the games)performance is important at this stage of the season and I understand. They aren't in a great position of course, the 4 points they've lost to Chelsea are more than likely to be crucial in the championship race and the fact Manu were so brilliant last year AND strengthened their squad probably meant people were getting a bit carried away. It's too early to judge yet but I wouldn't bet against a 4 horse race this season (stranger things have happened).

I don't think that they are in any trouble. There still are 36 games left to play.

boro_boy
19-08-2007, 18:22
Another game they have not won. Drew 2 lost 1. Even boro have done better. :). They will still be fighting for the title come the end of the season. Just a little bit of a bad start.

Powerhitter0418
19-08-2007, 18:24
I'm starting to think that they are in some trouble they're looking like they can't catch a break.

boro_boy
19-08-2007, 18:26
Well once they get over this problem and get their confidence back then they will be just fine. I think they have been over hyped with teves and nani coming along with the already quality players they have. They have too much pressure on them, but they should be ok.

The issue isn't the midfield.

Real 6 pointer at the bottom coming up agains Spurs...seriously though Man Utd have been unlucky losing Rooney, Ole and Ronaldo but other times they would have been able to have made the most of a bad situation. However even if they do get back to winning ways the bottom line is that their starting off with a 7 points defecit against Chelsea. It'll take something special for them to win the title but you'd never put it past them.

It must hurt to see City top of the league, even at this early stage!

Ronaldo

But we had Scholes playing more attackingly against City linking up with the 3 frontmen.

United aren't poor. They totally dominated City (for example) but the player who won the games last year wasn't playing.

RedRabbit

they aren't poor. They have a great midfield and defense, the current situation stems from a lack of forwards. Utd only have Tevez and he is a bad tackle away from being sidelined :animatedfear: (hopefully it doesn't happen).

triniboi101
20-08-2007, 15:04
I think their problem is the team spirit. If you really sat down and analyzed the match...Tevez was the only one with energy and was the only one that really wanted tose 3 points...everyone else looked daft and boring and couldnt wait to get back home and at the end of the match...Tevez again was the only one that looked disappointed. Utd have to work on their team chemistry to get back where they are meant to be.

Man United have lacked the killer touch in front of goal thus far. So why has Sir Alex spent so much time buying fancy Dan tricksters. Buy some cutting edge finishers Mr Ferguson.

I have no idea what match you were watching.

"everyone looked daft and boring"

What the fuck is that kind of analysis?

I reckon I could get a 2 year old to come up with a more accurate description of the match.

I have to disagree with you there. Utd. did have have drive and energy to win the match. They just didn't get the right chances or were unlucky... there were two clear chances near the end; one that went across the box and both Tevez and Scholes (?) missed to tap it in and then there was the corner that went passes 5 or 6 City players (including the keeper) Tevez headed but not into the goal

It was just one of those days were very few things went right

There is something sleek and pleasing about Anelka. But he still doesn't cut it in all departments for me. I'd go for Heskey before him.
