Liverpool have confirmed the Gerrard has a broken toe. The injury was attained during the UEFA qualifier match against Toulousse.

No really worries, it's only a hairline fracture.
He will be present for the Chelsea match but then sent to rest for at least a week. Thus he will miss the England friendly with Germany.

how long does it take to recover from a toe fracture? I would have thought it would take longer than a week.

Gerrards injured, Rooneys injured, Ronaldo got sent off. Rofl wow.

I thought it would take longer than a week for it to heal though.

Wouldn't surprise me if rafa didn't start gerrard in the chelsea game...you know what he's like, anyway chelsea will target gerrard in the game, fat frank will stand on his toe and he'll be fucked for the rest of the season.

There are a lot of injuries for the beginning of the new season, Boro have nearly all their back 4 out.

gerrard won't be playing against Sunderland, at least its an area we are strong in, rafa has to choose one of masherano or sissoko, god forbid he chooses both mascherano and sissoko together...
