Daniel Alves is set to play for Sevilla in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup, despite the intense interest from both Chelsea and Real Madrid in signing him.
The Brazilian wing-back has been asked to appear by coach Juande Ramos to help the team defend their one-goal lead from the first game of the tie against Madrid.
Despite looking set to leave the Andalucian outfit before the transfer window closes, Alves is still considered to be a member of the first team squad.
After training on Thursday, Ramos held talks with the player and asked him if he would participate as he was needed and Alves looks to have said he will appear.
The request came after the 24-year-old chose not play in the Champions League encounter in midweek against AEK so that he would not be cup-tied later in the campaign.
Sevilla rejected an offer from Chelsea earlier this week for Alves and talks have now stalled as the Blues consider whether to make another bid.
Madrid are also in the frame and reports in Spain suggest that that Sevilla have suggested a cash-plus-players deal to their opponents this weekend.
