3-0 - What a crushing humiliation by Super Leeds over United. In the spirit of fairness (I am an Englishman after all you know) they did have a few "senior lads" missing, but still had a couple of England youth "stars" playing for them.
It couldda, shouldda, wouldda, been 10 but for the rub of the green and a couple of remarkable open goal misses. It was one way traffic and a right beating. Leeds should do well in this seasons Youth Cup after only one win in the last four campaigns (a goal and an assist by Lennon).
The one real class player on the pitch was Fabian Delph - why he's not starring for the England youth team I don't know. Maybe they think he's Brazilian. An easy mistake to make.
And what a third goal from him.

A very interesting and amusing follow up to this (for me anyway), the Leeds expert on the youth team, disagreed with my assessment of Delph's performance - he thought he was poor. I wrote a brilliant response (as you would expect).
And for my trouble got a life time ban. :yikes:
Aren't our youth team out in malaysia?
My original post has now been amended to this.

I thought that too, maybe you 'humiliated' our second string youth team :hahaha:
Sorry for my earlier post which I have now amended.

I don't mind his fractiousness, if he could only back up his strange claim?
I could stick up the post - but it would probably go straight over his flat head.

Yeah you did have a few missing, and yes it was a young side.
Mind you the Leeds side was a young one really, with school leavers and those with just one season behind them. Big Tom Elliot (played three times for the first team last year while at school - bit daft I know) was carried off after half an hour. And three of Leeds better players have been picked up by Chelsea, Spurs and Bolton.

Just for the record - my understated response to the all things Leeds youth related expert:
QUOTE(stokewhites)
Did you watch the whole match ? I thought Delph didn't have a good game at all. He lost possesion several times and was lucky not to get sent off
Yes I watched every minute, with my expert eye (I do have a reputation to think about you know). He outshone England "stars" Nicky Ajosie and Matty James. He was clearly the class act on show, hardly put a foot out of place and was clearly MOM.
And this was BEFORE his classy goal to make it 3-0, which was just the icing on the cake. How old is he exactly? Can he really be eligible for the u17 World Cup team? If so, he should certainly be in it on that showing, at least.
excellent response lennon, i can seen now why they are so jealous that they banned you.
