I am sick and tired of rob Styles getting key decisions wrong and nothing is being done about it. Liverpool clearly deserved the game but Styles and his incompetent style of refereeing cost us. Hackett and his crew have their own personal reasons for giving Styles these big games and sending Riley and Bennett to WIGAN and READING respectively. I am so tired of this Styles fuker who never gets disciplined for his poor performances

He's only human, until we get video technology this is going to happen all the time. If you wanted to win, you should have scored two goals. :)

Yeah, we got pretty lucky there. But both teams played well.

You said Keith Hackett has his reasons for sending Rob Styles to the big games, I am intrigued as to what they are.

Oh right yeh cos he just constantly gets premier league clashes and his errors seem to be 'washed away' and never dealt with

I agree human errors can always happen in the game for FFS he was right next to the incident looking directly at it..how the hell could he give that as a penalty..

Shit refereeing, i hope the referee panel takes a look at it..

Darren

He is a Premier League referee though, so he will get Premier League games won't he? He is not a good referee though, and today's decision was unbelievable. His general performance wasn't good either to say the least.

yes and your point..

Im just saying hes a shit referee and the referee panel or whatever they have, should take a look at the standard of his refereeing..

No not necessarily. He could be like Andy D'Urso and be put down to the football-league and get the odd premier league game but your right boro no 1 fan! he was right next to the fukin incident! and i was thousands of miles away:) and i could see that wasnt no penalty

Darren

He is certainly not the best referee in the world, and is involved in a lot of interesting decisions that's for sure

I have an idea for a VBookie bet. What are the odds that he will be stabbed walking to his car tonight.

unlikely, theres actually more shooting and that sort of thing in London than there is in liverpool..

Hahaha in merseyside after a Liverpool match that he cost us so dearly! that could be very likely knowing those scousers

I didn't mean because it was in Liverpool, but both teams have a reason to hate him.

I think Liverpool and Chelsea fans will have to join the queue to be honest.:hahaha:

Whoah, hang on a minute.

Styles had a shocker today. But I'm quite concerned about the comments regarding people wanting to stab him. That's a little excessive don't we think?

Poor performance yes, but it's not only Styles it happens to...

No not necessarily. Liverpool have enough reason to hate him and Chelsea have just about enough to love the tosser for giving them the penalty. It was such a shocker that no one appealed for it. As in NO ONE! not even a chelsea player or fan but thats football.

Look how many times Gerrard gets away with diving...Also twice in the champions league against Chelsea they scored illegal goals. Lets just say that sometimes it swings in roundabouts.

I know he's nearly as bad as Ronaldo.

Well, what can I say. Styles has been a great referee, and even Collina had bad days at the office. Styles made a mistake, in the biggest game of the weekend, which proved very costly. I can't see for a ny reason why the penalty was given.

But still, Hansen and Gray, making the referee the most hated man in the World. Those two have never said anything good about a referee. None of there 'comments', are constructive at all. Really annoys me.

Why drop him? He made a mistake? Big deal?

So is that Rennie bloke who reffed the Fulham v Middlesbrough game going to be dropped also as the ball went over the line? Yet again the FA licking Liverpools arse.

Yeah im glad as well. Hopefully the tosser learns a good lesson! Just thinking about it upsets me. There wasnt even an appeal from one chelski player or fan! and the fans were right behind that goal. Just absolutely horrible decision. I thought he would've done like Mark Halsey and change his mind on the basis of player reaction...but he didnt and I hope he learns from this whole ordeal.

Not to sound rude or anything but why would we appeal? We took what we got and I've seen Liverpool do that tons of times.

That's true. Sure that both Chelsea players and fans were amazed at the call but in the end you take what you are given.

As for crying foul about it doesn't make it any better. Liverpool has gotten penalties at of nowhere as well in the past and nobody has cried nearly as half as they are doing now. Example: opening day 2006-07 match, Sheff. Utd. v Liverpool. Sheffield leading 1-nil and out of nowhere Gerrard 'earns' a penalty, that was clearly a referee mistake. Ends in a draw, did Sheff. Utd cry about it? No, they disagreed with the call but in the end, its what stands.

Can't believe there's people out there who think should refs make decisions on whether fans/players appeal for it or not. I'm intrigued as to why you'd think the decision would have been better if chelsea fans had appealled for it? Or maybe if Lampard had a word with the ref it would have been a better decision? I was at thatmatch at Craven Cottage and as much as I hate Fulham what Halsey did was ridiculous, people will quite happily say it was common sense but then the next day go on about how we should take a leaf out of rugby's book and not allow players to appeal! He even said after the game he took into account Andy Cole's reaction (that he'd missed a good chance), implying that if Cole had appealed/gone down theatrically he would have given a pen.

Exactly, Sheffield United got Relegated and still never complained about that match. If they would have won they would have stayed up.

westboy

Sheff Utd had other things to whinge about at the time and anyway you can always trace back decisions and blame a relegation on a bad decision.

Which mistake are you referring to man in black?

Yeh it was Styles ironicaly...maybe he wanted a bit of revenge but that penalty against Sheffield United was 50/50...you come charging in from behind like that as a player is about to take the shot...?? c'mon!
