Tottenham boss Martin Jol's job remains under threat because he has lost the confidence of several top officials at the club, BBC Sport understands.

====================
Will Jol be the first manager to get the boot? I think they need more time, look at Manchester United, they have started the season badly.
i hate boards like this throw away their manager.... pointless look and fergie he has been there long enough to be a roman and manchester united have won loads.
It really is bollocks, he won't be sacked. But unsettling him isn't going to help him is it?

It's a week into the season. They need to give him some time.
Putting pressure on him (and the players) might though
After what he has done for us the past couple of years to treat him like this is ridiculous. If anything, he should walk.
Also players take time to gel so the fact he's spent so much is even more reason for them having a slow start.

Yeh i agree with u BB. If you're going to sack Jol...might as well sack Fergie no? I think Sammy Lee will be the first to get the axe.

Thats what I was gonna say, he's done an amazing job since he's been there and has made you a 'big' club.
He must have done something we don't know about to the 'spurs chiefs'. It's absurd that a manager who's achieved what he has for Spurs is getting the vote of no confidence because he's lost two games.
Hes done alot for Spurs and took them out of the shite when he arrived. Hes brought in some talent and is JUST beginning to build a team.
Its so petty and baffles everyone I think. Spurs finished 5th last season, strongly and they started off badly. And to think they've got alot of players out.
Bringing a new manager in won't improve the situation anymore.
oooh! i'm too excited!:nodyes:
