View Full Version : Erm...why do you guys hate Rooney so much

I know this is a random thread, BUT he got you a huge transfer fee, did well for the club before moving onto a bigger club and improving his international prospects.

Yes there was the whole 'once blue always a blue' stuff, but then that's heat of the moment. How many people would turn down a move to Man Utd (there's only a few Alan Shearers out there)...

100 billion % agreed, if it wern't for Rooney Everton would still be a million miles bhind Liverpool.

Right well.
Rooney is a money stealing grabbing thug

He left because of how much Man Utd was paying for his wage, and yes they are a great team

His shit was 'Everton 4 Eva', however that was bullcrap

Then he accused of our manager 'forcing him out of the club' althoughwe all know it was him himself

He celebrated like mad when he scored against us what didn't help matters

Most people would do the same

His shit was 'Everton 4 Eva', however that was bullcrap

He was an Everton fan all his life, he'd broken into the first team was a hero etc. he's just giving a message to the fans, it just shows he was thinking about everton, not a move away asap.
Then he accused of our manager 'forcing him out of the club' althoughwe all know it was him himself

Fair point I forgot about that, was a stupid claim by Rooney, managers don't force you out to teams like United.

He celebrated like mad when he scored against us what didn't help matters
If fans are giving a player loads of stick and that player scores of course he's going to celebrate like mad!!

At the end of the day he got you a huge amount of money thanks to his talent. It's easy to say he should have stayed on, but as I keep on saying it was unrealistic for him to, whether he said he was Everton4eva or not. If you were playing for your boyhood club etc. just scored, you'd say the same thing, but when it actually came for it, you got a chance to hugely (?) increase your salary and win titles/play in Europe etc. you'd wouldn't turn it down because of something your t-shirt said once.

No he had a SHIRT on saying Everton 4 Eva, and he kissed the badge.

Signing for Manchester United because Thomaz Radzinski and his Agent said so dosn't say alot about him.

Furthermore yes we gave him some stick in the game, but if he didn't celebrate maybe some of them would think heh he dosn't like to score against the team he supported. But no he celebrated and took the mess of some of the fans.

westboy
23-08-2007, 13:50
Well most fans of a club would say there that club 4eva. Whatever was said about it, signing for Man Utd from Everton is a no brainer, I doubt his agent and Radzinski were the sole reasons and the fans were bitter to him and he reacted. I'm sure he would have continued 'supporting' everton (ie not celebrating when scoring against them) if the fans didn't turn against him.

He's a nasty fuk. He takes the piss out on referees and really abuses them and scores some good goals but he's a dirty player that carries out his anger at players and referees!

Its a job!!! I bet you would move from one job to another if they were going to offer you loads more money. Why stay at Everton and do the same job for less!!! Doesn't really make much sense, so thats why he moved.

The 'Everton 4 Eva' shit, he's not going to say anything really bad about the club or where he wants to go. So he and many others come out with this same old shit. The funny thing is the fans believe him!!! haha.

Just get over the fact that he left your club and enjoy his football. :)

If I had just managed to break into first team of a club I had supported all my life then I would never want to leave. No matter how much money I was offered. If you're a fan of a club you should stick by them. Thats my opinion anyway.

westboy
23-08-2007, 15:51
You've summed it up when you say 'it's a job BB' - that's exactly what football is a job/bussiness. People should remember this when they talk about things like reduction of ticket prices, big clubs helping small clubs etc.

boro_boy
23-08-2007, 15:53
I still think the big clubs should help the little ones as its pennies for the big clubs. Especially when they are about to go out of business. I know a normal business on the high street "its rival" would never do it, but football is different and its part of peoples lifes.

It's easy to say that now, but when it actually comes to it you'd (well I don't know you personally, but most people who make those claims) would actually move. I don't like defending Rooney this much, but moving to Man Utd for most people is about playing in front of 70k people and all the other perks and it's furthering his career, if he'd be unambitious if he'd just stayed at everton.

Also pissed off with him for hardly even spending anytime at Everton, he got into the first team and left a very short time after. You'd expect a player who supported the club hes playing for, who shows a shirt making praises for his favorite club, to stay at least one or two more seasons before making a quick move to another. I guess it gave the idea that he didnt really appreciate Everton.

The main reason is the way he left. We were looking like relegation candidates so what does the boyhood blue do? Piss on us by leaving us right at the end of the transfer window, giving us no chance to bring in a replacement. Cheers wayne.

Maybe it's hard to turn down Man Utd, but he was willing to go to Newcastle as well FFS.

1st class c**t imo I'm afraid.

I'm no fan of everton but rooney 'once a **** ,always a ****' deserves all the shite that comes his way.

he pretending to be a die hard blue and yet he couldn't even give everton a couple of years before fucking off, he slagged moyes off in the press that was potentially libellous, and if you ever see the way he celebrates infront of the blues you do wonder what the fuck goes through his thick stupid mind...must be nothing.

I don't blame him for moving to Man U... It's just like a secretary getting promoted to the boss, you wouldn't say no would you. Plus, he always wanted to be at Man U and was very upfront about that.

And I think some people hate him because he's a hot-headed b@$7@rd who sleeps with prostitutes yet manages to keep both his job and girlfriend, which is pretty impossible to most men

4141 has said basically all that needs to be said in his first post.
Although we finnished 4th that season, on paper, that team was relegation fodder even with Rooney, so when he left us a day before the window closed, he had for what he knew, doomed us to relegation. The club was in an awful financial stake and he and his agent new this, and it was the perfect oppetunity to forge a move away for money. As was said, he would had gone to Newcastle, no-one goes to Newcastle for anything except money.
How he as an ex so called 'Evertonian' could run up the the Bullen road stand, on his first game against us, before a ball had even been kicked, shows what sort of a sub-human gobshite he is.
In 30 years time when that Troll is older, he may realise how much scum he has been, it's too late then. He could had been a great, or even a legend of this club, his boyhood club, no money in the world can buy that, he will never ever be welcome at Goodison, and I hope the decisions he made over the last few years haunt the gobshite untill his dying day.

He was there on he pitch watching, when his own hero Duncan Ferguson scored 'that' goal against United at Goodison. He was there and witnessed the atmosphere that was created, he will never live to create that atmosphere at Goodison, something he had the oppertunity to do.

No, if i was at Everton, i supported them all my life, it would be a dream job. Exactly why Jagielka and Baines turned down other jobs for less money at Everton cause they support us

And atchually I DO enjoy his football, when he gets sent of :eusa_clap::eusa_clap::eusa_clap::eusa_clap:

It's still a promotion in a sense though, and who wouldn't accept a promotion? There wasn't all this ka-fuffle when other players came and went from other teams, so why when Rooney leaves you lot? At the end of the day, you, as in Everton fans as a whole, knew he was good and that's THE ONLY reason there's so much crap about him, cos if he wasn't that great of a player you'd quite happily let him go.

Good post.

I have posted on other forums and this one regarding "player loyalty" Rooney "a true blue" he said, I don't think the guy understood or understands what a club actually means to a true supporter.

I have stated before that "smith" once said that he was 100% Leeds.

If he had been 1% Leeds, he wouldn't have gone over the hill to them scum tappers.

Rooney and Smith are the worst type of Judas there is.

Duncan Ferguson may have been a thug in many eyes but he was loyal he even went to Newcastle as he knew the money we would get would help the club

Yeah you have to get things in perspective with players and transfers etc

Cantona for instance went to scum from Leeds, but he was a foreign player and it was a true business transaction which turned out great for him and scum.

Cantona was not a Leeds fan.

But smith for instance a Leeds lad and self professed 100% Leeds fan, to then go to scum, any other club and most Leeds fans would have understood, but going to scum showed a complete disrespect to every Leeds United supporter. Rooney did exactly the same disrespecting his so called fellow fans.
