BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Arsenal | Usmanov increases Arsenal stake (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/7000165.stm)
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov has upped his stake in Arsenal to become the club's second largest shareholder.
Wonder if he and his company (Red and White Holdings Ltd) will make a move a for major control?
There definitely pushing for it. I'm not sure if I like there presence though, Usmanov is a very dodgy businessman, close friends with President Putin, has his fingers in everything and alleged to be a greedy man.
Why do we need the money when Wenger has a revolution in hand?

Taken from the bbc
"I really fell in love with Arsenal when Arsene Wenger took over," he said. "The main reason I decided to buy Arsenal shares is because Wenger is manager - I consider him the best manager in the world.
"We want to be part of team where Wenger has the possibility to create as an artist."
Although he dismissed plans of an immediate takeover, Usmanov instead offered outlines for a long-term plan once he had the full confidence of Arsenal's reticent shareholders.
Usmanov, who has purchased his Arsenal shares through a company called Red and White Holdings Limited (RAWHL), is now the Premier League club's second largest shareholder behind Danny Fiszman, who owns just over 24%.
"I have nothing but greatest respect for the current shareholders," said Usmanov. "I can appreciate their nervousness, though the nature of their nervousness was at the time immoderate.
"But it is not a problem, they will get to know us and we will get to know them and everything will be OK."
I must admit after reading this I am warming to him

Do you not think foreign ownership would be at all beneficial to the Gunners?
Would you rather the club stay under the present regime?
They do seem to be rock steady at the moment.
I believe they are playing by far the most entertaining football in the country. Their passing and movement is exceptional. On the whole they keep the ball where it should be kept, on the floor.
All the players are real footballers with most having a great first touch.

well right now after we payed our debts we still made a profit, lads are playing good football and all sweet at the grove. I just cant see why we would want anyone to come in just for the sake to make more money for them selves. As the saying says " if it aint broke dont fix it.
