Yeah you should beat them and definitely with you lot being at home. I think your 14/1 to remain unbeaten for the rest of the season which is pretty damn good.

an easy win..........for orient. at least 2-0 with 60% of the ball, outplaying you from first to last and leeds blaming the ref/league/fa/the ball/white rose centre for the loss

You are strange, Gypsy Rose Lee now are you.

If Orient win, best of luck they will have deserved it. Elland Road is again becoming a Fortress. I know and all Leeds fans know it is not the Premiership, but from little acorns.

Get your money on 2-0 to Orient, wednesday get a life, put it on with a local Leeds bookie, keep the money in Leeds. Catch you later, duty calls.

What the hell are you rabbiting on about.

I am not the least bit bothered about trams, core groups and whatever else you care to mention.

The oly thing I am bothered about is football, so what does it matter if there are trams, shopping centres etc

They are totally irrelevent to me in every shape and form.

I look forward to see if your tremendous punditry of a 2-0 Orient victory is correct.

The guy is a bit of an argumentative person, but Yorkshire men are well know for being obstinate, cannot for the life of me see why.

I am not a keen admirer of other Yorkshire clubs, but I certainly don't want to see the team that the argumentative, obstinate core leader supports getting relegated.

All Yorkshire clubs have been going through the doldrums over the last decade, with the demise of in particular Barnsley, Bradford City, Rotherham, The Sheffield clubs and Leeds to name a few.

But with Barnsley starting well in the Championship, it hopefully will not be long before a Yorkshire team is back up amongst the big boys.

But I must admit I have supported Leeds for a good few years and this season is like been reborn. It has been a lot of fun so far, playing in a league which is different to what we have been used to over the last few years.

I enjoyed myself at Darlington the other night, apart from being stung for a £5 for parking the car.

Best chant of the night was "your grounds to big for you, your grounds to big for you" but I have to say the Darlo ground is a very impressive one.

I know whatever Arena its called as its always changing names is amazing! really fancy altho their average attendance was 6 or 7,000 with the exception on derby day which was about 10,000. I was just reading on it at wikipedia(The Darlington Arena - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Darlington_Arena)) Its bloddy massive for a team like Darlington

Let me tell Wednesday4life that Leeds is a fair size bigger than Sheffield and is a more important city. It has higher population, larger city centre. Sheffield is just 'town like' plus Leeds have a brilliant football club :)

I was worried about this game but since I have looked at the stats I am feeling a lot more confident. Orient have lost their last two matches and surely Leeds can't play as badly as we did against Yeovil again. I therefore think we (Leeds) will record a 2-0 victory. :thumbup1::gaydance:

I agree wiv ya big Tom. Leeds is a well known city with a fair amount of tourism. A well known football club and just a nicer place...unlike Sheffield which is unpopular and not a very nice and welcoming city...

triniboi101
13-10-2007, 15:49
Currently 1-1 in the 84th minute. Orient have been playing with ten men for much of the game. Kandol has just missed a penalty in the 85th...:( Cmon LEEDS!

triniboi101
13-10-2007, 15:56
finished 1-1

Mundi
13-10-2007, 17:15
Finished 1-1, personally I think that's a decent result considering where they are in the league, I know they've had a couple of hammerings but that and the fact it was a big game for them will have made them even harder to beat than normal.

Slightly frustrating though considering they had 10 men for 75 minutes, but that can often make teams even harder to break down than if they had 11.

Kandol blasted a penalty over the bar, although there appears to be controversy about the decision that led to it being awarded. They had a shot cleared off the line as well towards the end!

So I dunno, maybe we should have come away with 3 points, we certainly had the chances to. But then again perhaps we were lucky to come away with anything at all.

End of the day owt's better than nowt, it's another point on the board and another step on the unbeaten run.

BigTomW
13-10-2007, 17:34
Disappointed with the result! Ill give Orient credit tho for holding off with 10 men and didnt they have a goal disallowed which should of been a goal?

Oh well still unbeaten, so lets just keep it up!

Right mate, do me a favour and get your facts correct. Sheffield is NOT bigger than Leeds. The 3 largest cities in the UK are London, Birmingham, Manchester. Arguebaly either Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow coming in 4th. A good source to prove this is Skyscraper News - Skyscrapers, Cathedrals, Modern Architecture database, news, information and images (http://www.skyscrapernews.com) look on all the info and look in the forum section and its full of people who DO know what they are talking about.

Largest Cities by Population, UK Cities (http://www.ukcities.co.uk/populations/) Also look at this, this alone represents Leeds having the 3rd largest pop and so do many other sites.

Also Sheffield has hardly any large buildings that make the city centre look like a big city, Leeds is booming at a much faster rate and also has many larger/ taller buildings. Also has a new scyscraper which for a short while be the tallest residential building in europe. Just stating some facts :)

In a nice way...WednesdayNoLife......Get a life :)

if leeds is such a big city then how come the population of the west yorkshire urban area, featuring 3 cities (including leeds) and 23 other towns and villages, is barely any bigger than the sheffield urban area featuring sheffield and 6 other towns and villages?

Yes it appears that the person from the smaller city is "almost " right again.

Incidentally Big Tom do you realise that "Leeds is generally regarded as the dominant city of the ceremonial city of West Yorkshire, and the dominant city in Yorkshire as a whole"
