Should referees give interviews after their game. Explain there decisions.

Discuss.

yes , cause they can tell us why they always help chelsea out, and why rooney doesn't get protection even though he looks like an ogar

yes they should. The referee for the Sheffield Utd v Wigan game very nicely explained the action over the penalty. That cleared a few things up. I can't remember if Poll did for Corradi diving.

Apparenlty, Ballack's free-kick wasn't a free-kick. Abramovich probably pays the refs to be biased towards them lol :p

Mark Halsey should be interviewed.

Then arrested, given a trial and sent to the electric chair.

Wooooaah! i pressed reply, and i got logged out. Spooky.

Anyways, I like referees interviews. I think they should be accountable to the press, although they should be given time after the game to reflect and not just jumped on seconds after the match

I think referee interviews would be interesting but not necessary.

Good point. Peter Walton game out in a shirt and tie, so he had obviously had 30mins at least.

I think it should be advised to the referees to interview, but they shouldn't be made to. Just like players and managers. They are expected to give an interview, but no one says they have too.

Unfortunately the nature of this beast is that no-one's gonna want to interview a referee who's just had a good game with no contraversy and on the other side of the coin, not many refs will want to be interviewed after they've had the sort of game that the press want to interview them for....er.., if you see what I mean:confused: :D

Refs should give interviews because it's good for the fans because they may understand a decision that they wouuld not otherwise have done and it's good for the refs to be able to explain the decision and receive less criticism

Exactly^

I liked it when Paul Walton (think thats his name) gave an interview at the end, it showed more understanding when he gave the penalty and then disallowed it and him and the linesman got it right in the end.
