Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has no regrets about his refusal to shake hands with Rangers players - because he does not like them or their club.

I agree with Boruc, if they were teasing him and trying to hurt him in the game then why should he shake hands if he hates them? Yeah you can say its all to do with sportsmanship but **** it.
I'm with Boruc!!! :nodyes:
Good on him. Does what he thinks best.

Yeah, i'm sick of all the people who do stuff because they will look good or they have been told to do it. Its all false and at least Boruc is thinking for himself and being honest. I'm starting to like Boruc!! haha
People that piss me off most in this world are people that say things to please others. Arse lickers. Bullshiters, call em what ya want.
Before I go off into a 2 page rant, Im glad Boruc is a man that does what HE thinks is best, as hes a great keeper

If Rangers are banning the bigots from Ibrox, ban this twat too.I wonder how that would stand a club banning a player from their stadium.

Boxers knock hell out of each other for 12 rounds, Rugby players knock 10 bells out of each other for 80 minutes, but they always shake hands at the end of the battle.
It is the same at football, play hard, get stuck in but respect your opponent and shake hands at the end. Doesn't mean to say you like them, but it is a mutual respect for your opponent.
I have played a number of sports, one to quite an high level, at the end of some games I have felt more like giving an opponent the Glasgow kiss than shaking his hand, but you shake hands and have a beer.
Now professional sportsmen and women have a duty to do the sporting thing, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to like your opponent.
If your opponent has quite clearly cheated, that would put a different complexion on proceedings, but I do not believe that this is the case in this incident.
Rangers won 3-0, all the other Celtic players I believe shook hands with their opponents, but Boruc refused, his choice, not professional, not clever, but IMHO petulant.
He seems to have incited an obviously already volatile atmosphere, instead of accepting that his team were well beaten, he should have shook hands and been back on the training ground working hard to ensure it doesn't happen next time, instead of disgracing himself like a spoilt school kid.
No in my opinion he was out of order.

All this fuss over nothing. When I play, I shake hands with the players. But If I really hated the team with a passion I probably wouldn't as it would be false.
My opinion and I know my opinion counts for nothing on here haha!! :)

No fuss, your thread, just giving an opinion.
If I were a Leeds player (dreaming) and we had a game coming up against the red scum, I would be on the multi gym for a month building my right arm up.
On the hand shake at the end, I would be trying to break every bone in every hand that I shook:nod:

Boruc is the sh1te talking champion of scottish football.
If anything like that had gone on do you really think it wouldnt have been picked up by the TV cameras??He said Rangers players were trying to hurt him,hes probably even more upset by the fact that they hurt his ego by on the day making his beloved celtic team look truly second class.
Now the scott mcdonald kick aimed at mcgregor was more likely an intent to hurt, but McGregor showed dignity in victory and shook the unwashed hands of several celtic players after the game.
